The Vasa museum, Stockholm
Came back from Sweden last night, had the most amazing time.
Last friday, we went to see the Vasa, this absolutely stunning ship that was built between 1626 and 1628 and sank in Stockholm harbour in august 1628 only a few meters into its maiden voyage. It then stayed underwater for 333 years.
I really like the contrast between the incontestable beauty of this ship and the feeling of failure it holds.
On a different level, it made me think about the idea of going beyond humiliation and revealing things that should be hidden.
